What is this service?

In our online reading sessions, a pair of trained and vetted volunteers will visit your family online to share stories, and explore the magic of books and reading. As part of the service, your child will be posted a brand new book, tailored to their interests, twice per term. The volunteers share these or use e-books during the sessions.

Online Reading Sessions are conducted on Zoom via a computer or mobile device. They take place on a set evening a week during term time (Monday, Tuesday or Thursday) between 4.30 pm – 6.30 pm, and each session lasts approximately 20 minutes. Sessions are for children aged 5-11 who live in London. If you have multiple children, siblings can join and read together, or can choose to read separately on alternate weeks.

Good to know

What people say

We love the whole thing. The books are great but the time you spend talking to the kids is great too. They love reading and chatting!
