We are the Ramblers. We open the way for everyone to enjoy the simple pleasures of walking and to discover a wealth of new walking opportunities and ways to boost wellbeing.

We offer walks that can be London-based or are further afield in the countryside in the counties around London.
We offer them any time during the week and weekends, the length varying from between 4 to 14 miles, and we walk in all weathers unless it is extreme.
All our walks start and end at a railway station or tube station, so there is no need for a car.
Our lunch stop is usually a picnic, however sometimes there may be a pub or cafe nearby.
Occasionally there are social events, or weekends away.
The walks are led by trained and experienced leaders.
If you are new to walking please look carefully at the details of the walk, ie distance, hills and pace, to find one to suit your level of fitness.
Prospective new members are welcome to try up to three walks before joining The Ramblers Association (2025 subscription rates are £3.58 per month or £43 per year).
Our walks programme is displayed on our website - https://www.hfwramblers.org.uk/
The starting place for each walk is always a railway or tube station named in the walk description.
A picnic lunch and some water.
Details of which train to catch to get to the walk starting point are given in the walk description on the website.
Walking shoes or boots should be worn.
