What is this group?

POPS is an initiative to get the voluntary sector in Hammersmith and Fulham working in collaboration with older people’s issues.

Aims of the forum:

  • To develop a shared understanding of older people’s issues and use it to influence and shape local strategy and policy

  • To work together to increase provider’s capacity and effectiveness in responding to the needs of older people to raise awareness and the profile of older people’s issues across the Borough.

We provide telephone befriending, Safe & Well calls, home visits, walking support for those most isolated, personalised casework, and a range of health and wellbeing activies.

    Our Information and Advice service supports older people in Hammersmith and Fulham to access their full benefits entitlement, assists with housing, care, pensions, and other social welfare issues. The team hold face-to-face appointments at our Activity Centre as well as support over the phone
