Our Get Out There! group is perfect for volunteers who are interested in building skills and experience in the maintenance of community gardens and public green spaces. You'll gain experience in tool use, practical gardening skills and plant knowledge, as well as improving both mental and physical health.
We work in different sites around West London so Get Out There! is ideal for anyone who enjoys variety, being physically active and spending time outdoors. You don’t need any experience to join in. We are particularly interested in working with people who have been long term unemployed.
We are based at Godolphin Community Garden, where we usually start our day. However, we then travel together to various sites across West London.
It is a full day from around 10am-3 or 4pm. Lunch is included and we can provide boots if needed.
Each week we meet at a different green space in Hammersmith and Fulham or Westminster. We have a Whatsapp group where we communicate about where we will be each week
