What is Community Compass?

Community Compass is Hammersmith & Fulham Council’s new online home for the borough’s resident focused voluntary and community sector organisations. It helps H&F residents looking for support and guidance from voluntary and community sector organisations.

The online database is easy to use and can list everything residents need to know about your organisation, including your services and prices, CQC rating, events, address, contact details, website and social media accounts.

The website has been built to be a resident’s first point of research when looking for a new local service for themselves, family or neighbours.

Working with our partners from across the voluntary and community sector, H&F responded to their requests to establish a digital space and community resource. Sharing accurate and reliable information that is accessible and engaging for residents is the key aim.

Why was H&F Community Compass created?

H&F Community Compass has been designed to be residents' first stop when searching for everyday support: local services, activities, advice, and support for themselves, their families, or their neighbours.

Developed in partnership with organisations from across Hammersmith & Fulham's voluntary and community sector, the platform is a trusted digital space where residents can easily find local opportunities and support. Its aim is to bring together accurate, reliable, and up-to-date information in an accessible and engaging format, making it easier for residents to connect with the services they need.

Who can join H&F Community Compass?

H&F Community Compass is primarily for voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise organisations that provide services, activities, or support to residents of Hammersmith & Fulham. Some commissioned services will also be eligible. Please see our Terms & Conditions for full eligibility criteria.

What types of services can I add?

A wide range of services, activities, events, support groups, advice services, wellbeing programmes, community projects, clubs, and volunteering opportunities can be listed, provided they meet our eligibility criteria and are relevant to Hammersmith & Fulham residents.

What information can I add?

The online database is easy to use and can list everything residents need to know about your organisation, including your services and prices, CQC rating (where applicable), events, address, contact details, website and social media accounts. Keeping your profile up to date helps residents access information and connect with your organisation more easily.

How do I get my organisation involved?

It’s really easy to register your organisation on Community Compass. Simply click on the “Get involved” tab and follow the steps. Once you’ve registered and been approved, don’t forget to then list your services to develop your offer, create engaging content for residents and boost your presence on the platform.

The website is also a great way to showcase your community engagement and credentials – imperative when applying to local grants and funding opportunities.  It can also be used as a free way of advertising your upcoming events to the community.
