service
Independent Mental Health Advocacy is a free service for eligible patients detained under the Mental Health Act 1983. IMHAs help patients to have their rights upheld and their voices heard, and support patients to be better informed.

Libra Partnership provides statutory Independent Advocacy services to residents of Hammersmith and Fulham, including Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) , and Independent Health Complaints Advocacy (for support with NHS complaints).
Independent Advocacy upholds peoples rights, whilst ensuring their voices are heard. An Independent Advocate is always on the person's side and helps to amplify their wishes and feelings so that they have more control over their lives.
Independent Advocates cannot give legal advice and can only support people for specific issues.
To make a referral for support please visit our website and go to our referrals page. Alternately, please call us on 03333051329 or email [email protected]
Libra Partnership also provides a voice for vulnerable adults deprived of their liberty in care settings or in the community, and support people undergoing processes and decisions under the Mental Capacity Act 2005, the Care Act 2014 and the Court of Protection Rules 2017.
Libra Partnership supports people in over 50 local authorities and ICBs across England.
