Event description

Starting from Maggie's West London, you will head out on a 8 or 15 mile route, along the picturesque River Thames. Key landmarks you will spot on the route include Battersea Power Station, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben & the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and St Paul's Cathedral.

You will receive a free Maggie's t-shirt and hiking buff, snacks, hot food and drinks and a medal to commemorate your achievement. We hope to see you there!

The route

Choose from 8 or 15 miles – both start at our west London centre in Hammersmith, and end at our Barts centre near St Pauls Cathedral.

What to expect

  • Fully supported route with marshals, including front and back markers

  • Refreshments provided

  • Training plans and advice

  • Expert fundraising support, including a dedicated Fundraiser at your local Maggie's centre

  • Opportunity to visit and tour your local Maggie's centre

  • Maggie's t-shirt and hiking buffs

  • Medal and pin badge to commemorate your achievement

Your participation

Please note that this is a fairly challenging event, and to take part you will need to have a good level of fitness. Some training is advised, and we'll provide plans and information to help with that.

We expect the 8 mile route to take around 3-4 hours and the 15 mile route to take around 6 hours to complete, including breaks.

This event is for over 13s. The adult who registers along with the child ticket will be fully responsible for the child at all times during the event. If you have to leave the event for any reason, the child will have to leave with you.
